You may also refer to Optional Calculation Spreadsheet Instructions to download the Subpart BB calculation spreadsheet.

1a.) Provide the following general information about your facility.

You will be required to enter the following information:

  • Facility name (the Facility Name on the reporting form must match the facility name in e-GGRT).
  • GHGRP ID (the GHGRP ID on the reporting form must match the GHGRP ID in e-GGRT).
  • Reporting Year
  • Annual production of Silicone Carbide in short tons.
  • Annual production capacity of Silicone Carbide in short tons.
  • Information on whether or not CEMS is used to measure CO2 at the facility (yes/no).
  • Annual consumption of petroleum coke in short tons per year.
  • Method on which the carbon content of coke is based.  The options are:
    • Supplier measurements
    • Self-measurement using the ASTM standard method

Subpart BB: Enter general information for facility

1b.) Provide the following information if your facility does not use CEMS and bases the carbon content of petroleum coke on reports from the supplier.

You will be required to enter the following information:

  • Sampling analysis results for carbon content of consumed petroleum coke as determined for the QA/QC of supplier data under ยง98.284(d) (kg C per kg of coke with the percent expressed as a decimal fraction).
  • The number of Months missing data procedures were used to measure petroleum coke consumption.
  • The number of Months missing data procedures were used to measure the carbon content of petroleum coke.
  • Annual CH4 process emissions from the silicon carbide production facility in metric tons for reporting years 2010, 2011 and 2012. Note that this is the output from Equation BB-3 in the Subpart BB calculation spreadsheet.  For the reporting year 2013 and beyond, this section will be blacked out and you will not have to provide this information.
  • Annual CO2 process emissions from the silicon carbide production facility in metric tons.  Note that this is the output from Equation BB-2 in the Subpart BB calculation spreadsheet.

Subpart BB: Provide the following information if your facility does not use CEMS and bases the carbon content of petroleum coke on reports from the supplier.
