During user registration, after completing your user profile, there is a "Proof of Identity" step. This is necessary if you want to sign your Electronic Signature and Use Agreement (ESA) immediately and begin using e-GGRT. Using LexisNexis is optional.

You have two options:

  1. Verify your Identity with LexisNexis. Use LexisNexis to be verified immediately. Fill out the form, click on the checkbox "I am the person whose name is presented above. Please proceed with LexisNexis validation" and click the VERIFY button. If verification is successful, you will then electronically sign the ESA and can begin using e-GGRT. 

By proceeding with verification using this option, you understand the service is voluntary and that you are validating personally identifying information against a 3rd-Party service LexisNexis®, which will return evidence of validation of your personally identifying information back to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). EPA will not collect or retain sensitive, personally identifying information such as your Social Security Number (SSN); however, EPA will receive evidence of identity validation which may be used to identify you for legal purposes.

  1. Print, Sign, and Mail your ESA. If you prefer not to use the LexisNexis option or are unable to successfully verify your identity using the form, click the "I would like to print and submit a signed form" link.  You will be redirected to an ESA page. When EPA receives your printed, signed ESA your account will be activated and you will be notified by email.
