How Do I Add e-GGRT to My Existing CDX Account?

Short answer: you don't add it from CDX. You add it by signing in to e-GGRT with the CDX username you already have, and letting e-GGRT register you.
Why isn't e-GGRT in CDX's "Add Program" list?
Because it is never listed there. Nothing is wrong with your account, and you haven't missed a step.
Every e-GGRT account is a CDX account — but not every CDX account is an e-GGRT account. The piece that makes a CDX account work with e-GGRT is called the e-GGRT Program Service, and it can only be created by e-GGRT itself.
This is where people get stuck, and it's a reasonable place to get stuck. For most other programs in CDX — CEDRI, TRIMEweb, OTAQREG, ECMPS — you add the program service from inside CDX, using the "Add Program" or "Add Service" list. e-GGRT is an exception. Searching that list for e-GGRT will never turn it up, no matter how long you look.
So the Program Service doesn't come first. It gets added for you, as a result of registering in e-GGRT.
How do I add it?
Which route you take depends on whether you already have a CDX account.
If you already have a CDX account (because you use CEDRI, TRIMEweb, OTAQREG, ECMPS, or another program):
- Go to the e-GGRT login page: https://ghgreporting.epa.gov/ghg/login.do
- Enter your CDX User ID in the Username field and click NEXT.
- Authenticate with Login.gov as you normally would.
- e-GGRT will recognize you as an existing CDX user and walk you through a one-time "mini-registration." It's shorter than full registration, because your CDX profile already exists.
Completing that mini-registration is what adds the e-GGRT Program Service to your CDX account. From then on, you sign in to e-GGRT normally.
If you don't have a CDX account yet:
- Go to https://ghgreporting.epa.gov/ghg/login.do
- Click the CREATE ACCOUNT button.
That slightly longer process creates your CDX account and connects it to e-GGRT in a single pass — you don't need to register at CDX separately first.
Do I need the Help Desk to add it for me?
No. Adding the e-GGRT Program Service is something the registration process does on its own, and there is nothing for us to switch on first.
One situation is different. If you used to have e-GGRT access and now receive this error when you sign in:
We are unable to log you into the application, due to an error with your CDX account profile (e-GGRT dataflow role is not active).
then your Program Service already exists but has been switched off, and that one does require us. See e-GGRT Login Error: "e-GGRT dataflow role is not active". Registering again is not the fix for that error.
